Felted Flower
A cream and peach flower attached to a pin. This went with a matching scarf.
-
Hot Pink Nuno Closeup
Closer shot of scarf on previous pic.
-
Silky Autumn Scarf
This has a lot of shine to it because almost the whole thing is silk. The middle is laid out with mostly hankies and held down with the smallest possibe amount of wool. Quite striking.

babs.jpg
Babs in her "coat of many colors."
-
Coat of many colors
Babs' custom felted coat for a chilly Florida winter.
-
Red Shawl
Abstract flower swirls on a purposely flat nuno.
-
Shibori felted scarf
Grey merino with sari silk yarn running through. Also blanket stitched and fringed with the same yarn.
-
Black Shibori Scarf
Black shibori scarf fringed and edged in sari silk yarn. Nice contrast.
-
Felted Bracelets
Multicolored felt, cut into strips and then stitched with colorful embroidery thread. Snap closures.
-
Slippers
A pair of man's slippers. I stitched leather onto the sole so it would wear longer.
-
Wolf Pillow
A pillow with an image of a wolf howling against the moon. I made it into a pillow.
-
Hair Ornaments
These felted ropes are attached to hair clips to dangle down in bouncy curls.
-
Multicolored Felted Purse
Multicolored felt made into a bag. Machine stitched for a quilted look. Black embroidered french knots for interest.
-
Black and Pink Shibori Felted Purse
The black section is all felted in one piece, and the pink was a separately done section sewn on afterwards. The pink shibori "bubbles" were made using pebbles from my back yard.
-
Felted Flower Necklace
Feled flower attached to a felted rope for a unique accessory. Merino wool on your neck is extremely comfortable and not itchy.
-
The Evil Eye
Blue shawl with Greek "Evil Eye" pattern. Not on purpose, it just turned out looking like that.
-
Men's Felted Slippers
Slippers with a leather sole sewn on. Merino is great to feel on the feet, but is so fine that it will wear out on the sole of a slipper faster than you want it to.
The orange sections were sewn onto the charcoal cuff after it was already made.
-
Turquoise & Pumpkin Necklace
This is one of my favorite color combinations. I based the entire project around the colors in the ceramic beads.
-
Elf shoes
These cool slippers were cool elf-like shoes/boots. Super comfy, and even had jingle bells on the heels.
-
Funky Arty Necklace
Felted cords sewn around in a spiral, and another random circular shape. Added beads.
-
Peacock Bag
This was a rather large shoulder bag with a peacock feather theme. I also sewed tiny iridescent seed beads all over it after felting. Needle felted large bead closure.
-
More Felted Rocks
Another batch of rocks... some have mohair in them for accent.
-
Ruana
This nuno felted ruana took an entire weekend, and a LOT of space. I was very happy with the colors and the fit.
-
Laptop Sleeve
A nice cushy sleeve for a laptop. Clasps from the notions department at the fabric store.
-
Journal Cover
The finished journal cover from the felt made in the "Series One" videos.
-
Winter Wrap
This is the finished wrap shown in the video section named "Time Lapsed Project."
-
Turquoise Purse
Purse felted in one piece with a resist, then knitted/felted handles sewn on after.
-
Turquoise Purse Closeup
A closeup of some of the details on the turquoise purse in previous pic.
-
Orange and White Shoulder Bag
Orange shoulder bag with coordination coin purse.
-
Silk Organza
This was an experiment with stiff organza.
-
Pink Rosy nuno
Feminine to the max. lots of pink, cream and white along with a silk flower pin.
-
Hair Sticks
Felted ropes attached to ponytail holders. Cute accessory!
-
Felted Hair Sticks
These little felted ropes are felted a little extra stiff so they stand up. Wrapped around a pony tail holder so you can have a funky hair decoration. This one was my favorite.
-
Shibori
An example of shibori shaping on the edge of this scarfette. I felted a button for a snug fit around the neck since it was kind of short.
-
Rose Trellis Scarf
Pale green silk chiffon with a white "trellis" grid. Pink represents roses trailing on it. One of my personal faves.
-
Rose Trellis Scarf
A shot of the whole scarf. See the diagonal lines of the trellis? It was also pieced on the diagonal because I didn't have a long enough cut of silk.
-
Sushi Scarf
This has a rather heavy edge with the wet felted circular motif. I liked the name "Mr. Bubble" for this scarf, but I guess sushi works too.
-
Turquoise and Cinnamon Nuno Scarf
Ok, this is my all time favorite thing I've ever felted. The colors just do me in. I won two different ribbons for this one at craft fairs. I wish these pictures did it justice.
-
Fave Nuno
Closeup of previous scarf.
-
Newfoundland Flag Pillow
This Newfoundland flag pillow was for a Christmas present for someone. It took quite a bit of patience to get those lines as straight as they are!
-
Primitive Mittens
A special request! These could have been made via resist and not sewn, but the person wanted them in this rustic fashion. No problem! The inside is all alpaca for extra softness.
-
Pink Landscape Nuno Scarf
I loved the randomness of this one. Many pieced together silk scraps, and holes.
-
Pink Landscape Nuno Scarf
A closer look at the beautiful detail in this one.
-
Pink Nuno Scarf
This incredible wrinkling and seizing of the fabric is what mesmerizes me. I could get lost in that little universe.
-
Rustic Purse
An interesting purse with lots going on. Lots of faric and ribbons felted in. Copper beads sewn on afterwards. I made one of the bead clusters resemble the Big Dipper as a surprise thing for someone to find.
-
Orange and Cream Scarf
This is quite long and ruffly. It could easily wrap around your neck 3 times and still look long. Matching orange flower pin to use for a closure, or put in your hair to coordinate.
-
Mixed Berry nuno
Pretty splashes of blue and lavender. Yummy.
-
Tree Wall Hanging
I see a lot of stylized trees with curly branches and I love them so I decided to make a felted wall hanging of one! It is pretty large.... about 30 x 20 inches.
-
Tree Wall Hanging
Here is a shot of it hanging on my living room wall for perspective.
-
Luna Moth Wall Hanging
This is a felted wall hanging I made from a painting, which was made from a photograph from a magazine! It is a Luna moth.
-
Luna Moth Closeup
Luna moth detail/closeup.
-
Cotton Candy Scarf
Is it ironic to have "cotton" in the name of this silk scarf that contains no cotton?
-
Seaside Shawl
This is only one side of the shawl, I can't get a shot of how huge it is.
-
Peacock Nuno Scarf
Pale green silk with peacock fetaher motif.
-
Bridal nuno
Ruffly feminine all white nuno.
-
Everything Bagel
All Earth tones, and natural browns, cream, and gold. A little bit of a lot of ribbons and wools in this one.
-
Blue Lagoon nuno scarf
Bohemian, and beautiful.
-
Sigmund the Seamonster nuno
So green and monster-y!
-
Black and silver
Elegant and dramatic. No color, just black, white and grey.
-
Pinky McGee
This one went wild. I added copper beads at the corners after felting.
-
RazzMatazz
Orange, rust, green and teal.
-
Technicolor Seamonster
I love the swirls in this one. It also features yellow scrim overlay and bon bon yarn by Nu Mei.
